The following applies when using Windows Media Player, and assumes you have the sound adjusted correctly for help on adjusting sound click here).

Insert your CD into the DVD/CD drive. On some computers, inserting the CD will automatically open Windows Media Player. If it doesn’t then Windows Media Player can be found under Programs in the Start Menu.

Having opened Windows Media Player, click on the “Now Playing” button. Media Player displays the CD information such as the CD’s title and playlist (i.e. track names and times).

 To play the CD

Go into the Play menu and click on Play/Pause or use the controls at the bottom of the Media Player window:

Do the same thing again to stop playback.

You can select a specific track to play from the playlist in the Now Playing screen.
